Hi Candy Schworak,

"Azzurro" indicates a light blue, like the blue sky on a sunny day.

By the way, Italian national players are usually called "gli azzurri," because their uniform is "azzurro."

"Blu" refers more to a stronger and darker blue, like the one in the video.

Here you show Italian for blue is Blu. In another lesson & in the dictionary Blue is blu & azzurri. Which is correct? Or when is it best to use azzurri, azzurra,azzurro?
