A few phrases I would find useful if I could remember them! Maybe useful for others....
Could I book a table for this evening please?
Can you please give me directions to..........?
What time do you close? What time does the ........close?
My Italian is not very good, could you please speak a little more slowly?
Do you have lactose free milk?
What do you have the is gluten free?
Hi Jaime,
yes you're right. "Buon pomeriggio" is not commonly used, as most people just say "buongiorno" until late afternoon then switch to "buonasera". But you might hear "buon pomeriggio" in formal contexts.
A presto,

Do people actually say Buon Pomeriggio? When I was in Italy people would say Buona Sera in the afternoon.

Hi kayri,
thanks for posting!
Yes, "Mi sembri britannico. Di dove sei?" is correct.
The verb "sembrare" in Italian can be used both to mean "to look" and to mean "to sound" when talking about how people look or sound.
The verb "suonare" (to sound) is used in other expressions, such as "suona familiare" (it sounds familiar).
I hope this helps!
