HideDid you get it right?
Hi Hayden,
Thank you for leaving the comment.
Both versions are correct.
"Si adatta" comes from the verb "adattar-si" (reflexive form of the verb "adattare") and means "it goes well".
In this lesson, it's not necessary to fully understand all the grammar, if you can get the main meaning of the conversation.
Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.
Grazie,

Hi there ItalianPOD101,
Why it is must be "Si adatta alla sua giacca grigia" but not "ร adatta alla sua giacca grigia"
Why did you use "Si" to say "it" instead of "รจ"?
Grazie mille!
Hi robbinsmark,
Bentornato!
1-3. Please know that the Italian dialogues and sentences are translated to sound as natural as possible in Italian, not to match well with the English translation. Anyway your comments are very sharp and it seems you can jump to the next level soon!
2. Yes, "si adatta bene alla" would fit better with the English translation. Also instead of "si adatta molto male", it's better to say "non si adatta bene" ("it doesn't go well with").
Grazie mille e arrivederci!

Good day to all; I'm back.
Vorrei fare alcune domande.
I'd like to ask some questions.

1. Quella bianca o quella blu, sounds like he's he's pointing out (indicating) "that white (one) or that blue (one)", otherwise wouldn't it be "la bianca o la blu" to say "the one or the blue (one)"?
2. "Si adatta alla" is "it (goes/adapts/fits) with". Is it more precise or accurate to say "si adatta bene alla" to says "it goes well with" or "si adatta molto male" if you want to say "it's a real bad male"?
3. Cibo = food; Groceries = alimenti o provviste. Mangio il cibo italiano would nearly never be translated to "I eat Italian groceries".
Grazie per "pulsante" pushbutton e per "indossa" (indossare) to wear/put on.
