Becky: Welcome to 3-Minute Italian Season 1, Lesson 20 - Talking about your likes. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to ask and answer the question ‘do you like?’ affirmatively in Italian.

Becky: Here's the way to ask 'Do you like chocolate?' in Italian.
Ofelia: [Normal] Ti piace la cioccolata?
Becky: First is a phrase literally meaning 'it’s pleasing to you'
Ofelia: [Normal] ti piace [Slow] ti piace
Becky: Next is the word meaning 'the'
Ofelia: [Normal] la [Slow] la
Becky: Last is the word meaning 'chocolate'
Ofelia: [Normal] cioccolata [Slow] cioccolata
Becky: Note the rising intonation. Listen again to the question meaning 'Do you like chocolate?'

Becky: Now, imagine you want to refer to a group of things. Here's the way to ask, 'Do you like sweets?'
