Visto dall'altra parte - reverse take on learning Italian

Postby roma55 » May 14th, 2008 12:52 pm

Salve Italo-nauti! (explorers of Italian?)! [translation of the message follows below]

http://www.englishgratis.com/

Spiega la grammatica italiana prima di presentare l'espressione equivalente in inglese. Siccome il metodo didattico in Italia fa molto riferimento alla grammatica, e' molto probabile che torverete una bella spiegazione sul sito, prima che sia offerta al lettore l' espressione corrispondente in inglese.

Fatemi sapere se lo trovate utile e se vi serve un aiuto per qualche parola.

Buon divertimento!

English translation of the above:

I actually do this for Japanese but advanced learners everywhere can do the same for other languages as well.

I look at sites that teach the language I know in the language I want to learn!

Learning a language is a specialised activity, so it needs some specialised terms. So if you are an advanced Italian learner or just curious to see how an Italian student approaches learning Eanglish and ready to guess a word or two, then get yourself on this site, appropriately called 'English for free':

http://www.englishgratis.com/

It explains Italian grammar in Italian before giving you the English counterpart. As in Italy teaching is very often grammar-based you are sure to find interesting information here since the English expression is likely to be preceded by a reference to the grammar rules for the Italian equivalent.

Let me know if you find this useful and if you need help with any term.

Enjoy!
