camminare - andare

Postby Bernhardbuchreiter1006 » February 1st, 2013 11:06 am

Hy.
What is better:

"camminare a piedi" or "andare a piedi"

I want to say something like: "Non cammineremo (mica) a piedi, (non) vero?"

I don't know if I have to use the words in parentheses...

Thanks for any help.

Ciao! :D

The one using camminare is better to use in my opinion! But both can be used depending on how you use them!

If you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask me! :D

Tanks for your answer. I am searching for the right way to use the "non...mica" construct. Any hints are welcome.

Hi,
camminare means andare a piedi. So you cannot really say camminare a piedi. It sounds like 'to walk on foot'
Vado a scuola a piedi
Cammino a scuola.

Hello Chiara.

Thank you for your answer. You gave me the explanation I was looking for.

( Ho avuto il vago sospetto che non è la stessa cosa. :-) )

So my final sentences would be:
"Non andremo a piedi mica, vero?" or "Non cammineremo mica, vero?"

( Grazie per correggere le mie frase. )
Best regards
Bernhard

Ciao Bernhard,

just one more little thing... better say " "Non andremo mica a piedi, vero?"

Buono studio.
