Learn Italian with ItalianPod101.com! “There’s nowhere in the world better to buy shoes than Italy,” you tell your friend in Italian. He agrees wholeheartedly, saying in Italian, “The best leather in the world is in these Italian shops. Do you see anything you like?” You respond in Italian, “Yes, here’s a great high heel pump in this window. It’s beautiful. What do you think?” You friend tells you in Italian, “It IS a beautiful shoe, but look how high its heel is-that’s at least five inches tall.” You respond in Italian, “Yes, but I wear high heels all the time. It might be just a little bit taller than my boots.” Your friend replies in Italian, “That may be true, but don’t you have enough problems walking in your other tall shoes? Maybe you should consider some flats.” You turn, put your hands on your hips, and say in Italian, “Are you trying to tell me I’m too clumsy to pull off these heels? Watch me!”
