| Did you know there's a special pattern for forming the numbers 11 through 16 in Italian? Can you guess what it is? |
| As you may have noticed, these numbers combine dieci (ten) with the numbers one through six. For example, eleven is undici (uno plus dieci), twelve is dodici (due plus dieci), and so on, up to sixteen. |
| Keep this in mind, because it’s an exception! Starting at 17, the pattern changes. Instead of combining sette with dieci, the order reverses: diciassette (dieci + sette). |
