Welcome to Three Step Italian Practice by ItalianPod101.com. In this lesson, you will practice how to talk about health problems.
Let's look at the main dialogue.
Two people are having a conversation.
Adam, non hai un bell'aspetto. Stai male?
"Adam, you don't look well. Are you sick?"
Ho mal di testa. Ho anche mal di stomaco.
"I have a headache. I also have a stomachache."
In this conversation, this character
Says that he has a headache.
And that he has a stomachache, too.
You can use the pattern [avere mal di plus body part] to talk about pain in internal or general parts of the body, and [avere male a plus body part] when referring to pain in external or visible parts of the body.
