Ilaria: Ciao! Welcome to Italian Holiday words and this is Ilaria and today’s theme is Chocolate Festival. Umm I love chocolate! Adoro cioccolato!


[Festa del Cioccolato] - “Chocolate festival”.
[La Festa del Cioccolato più famosa in Italia è quella organizzata nella città di Perugia.] - “The most famous chocolate festival in Italy is the one organized by the city of Perugia.”


[tradizione cioccolatiera] - “Chocolate making tradition”.
[Le tradizioni cioccolatiere del Piemonte e della Sicilia sono tra le più importanti in Italia.] - “Chocolate making traditions of Piedmont and Sicily are among the most important in Italy.” 


[sculture di cioccolato] - “chocolate sculptures”.
[Le sculture di cioccolato sono così belle che è un peccato mangiarle.] - “Chocolate sculptures are so beautiful, it’s a shame to eat them.”


[Bacio] - “Bacio chocolate”.
Bacio, maybe many of you knows this word because [Bacio] means – what does it mean? 3, 2, 1 “Kiss” of course. So it’s also the name of a very famous small chocolate with dark chocolate and hazelnuts. It is very good.
[Il cioccolattino chiamato Bacio è uno dei più famosi in Italia.] - “The small chocolate called [Bacio] is one of the most popular in Italy”. This is little chocolate and it is also nice because when you open it, you have message inside. There is a small paper with love related famous quotes from famous people from the past or just, you know, phrases, cute phrases about love. It is very cute chocolate, very popular on Valentine’s Day, yeah.


[gianduia] - “gianduja chocolate”.
Gianduia. [Il gianduia è un impasto di cioccolato e nocciole inventato a Torino nel 1806.] - “Gianduia is a mixture of chocolate and hazelnuts created in Turin in 1806”. I think this is my favorite type of chocolate. Ah I really love it.
