Becky: Here's the way to ask 'How much does it cost?' in Italian.
Ofelia: [Normal] Quanto costa?
Becky: First is a word meaning 'how much'
Ofelia: [Normal] quanto [Slow] quanto
Becky: Last is the word meaning 'costs'
Ofelia: [Normal] costa [Slow] costa
Becky: Note the rising intonation. Listen again to the question meaning 'How much does it cost?'
Ofelia: [Slow] Quanto costa? [Normal] Quanto costa?
Becky: Here's the way to ask, 'How much does this cost?'

Becky: First is a word meaning 'how much'
