Hi Barbara,

just like Leti explained, โ€œla famigliaโ€ is singular, so "La famiglia mangia" is correct.

Thank you for posting, let us know if you have other questions!

Hi Leti,

thank you for your comment.

While it is true that "fare colazione" is more common, "mangiare la colazione" is also used. Also, it may be confusing for beginners to learn the word "eat" but see "do" in the sample sentences. Anyway, I will check with the staff to see if it is possible to change "la colazione" with something else.

Sincerely,

Valentina

Nice way to start the day. Know 24/25. Now I also know esistere. Grazie.

โ€œLa famigliaโ€ is singular, not plural. Many families is โ€œle famiglieโ€. La famiglia mangia is correct.

Also, note the spelling of famiglia.

Should the example for mangiare be mangiano. La familia mangiano la colazione.

You have many examples using โ€œmangiare la colazioneโ€. While this is correct Italian, it is not typical usage. They would use โ€œfare la colazioneโ€. I think you could come up with better examples for mangiare.

Hi Catherine,

Thank you for reporting that.

You are right, the examples under "chiedere" ("ask") are not correct.

We'll fix it soon.

Thank you,

Ofelia

Non avete fatto tanto bene in questa lezione. Nell'elenco di verbi avete "chiedere" ma nell'esempio usate "fare una domanda".

Similmente date la parola "sapere", ma l'esempio usa "conoscere"!

Che confusione.
