Thank you for these encouraging phrases. Over the last year and half I have added to my list of vocabulary giving me more confidence to speak Italian. My wife and I are going to Italy for 2 weeks in March so I should be able to get by somewhat.

Hi Capt Marinaro,

these are all "set phrases" in Italian, so we chose to use set phrases/expressions in English too, not literal translations.

The literal translation of "non ci sono limiti" would be "there are no limits". ๐Ÿ˜‰

maybe it would help to read something that interests you? For example, if you like cooking, try reading recipes in Italian. Another thing you could try is reading the transcription of the dialogues. Just keep practicing, you'll see some progress soon.
