Best way to ask for something in restaurant

I've seen in the lessons many ways to ask for things in a cafe/restaurant.

Posso avere un espresso doppio.
Dammi un ...
Mi lo dia un...
Vorrei un...

What is the most natural way to say this/ask for something, that is also very polite?

Hi Robert,

You can use:
Vorrei [un caffé].
[Un caffé], per favore.

You can substitute [un caffé] with anything else.
Please notice that "Mi lo dia un..." is not correct, you could say "Mi dia un...".
Also, please use "Dammi un..." only if you are friends with the other person.
