I utterly agree with Marco. Whenever you study anything, you should apply it to your real life, that means finding cool people to talk about your true interests. Do you like Italian guys/girls? Talk about them!
Learning a language is fact no different from riding a bicycle. Once you got how it works, you should practice as much as you wish. The more you try, the better you’ll get.
A little advice, don’t get crazy about grammatical correctness at first. Communication is more than a bunch of rules and proficiency is the result of fun and practice.
