Absolute Beginner S2 #23 - Last Night I Dreamed in Italian
Learn Italian with ItalianPod101.com! You're being chased through the Italian streets, but you're not quite sure who's chasing you. It started when a sinister figure started following you down the street after you left an Italian cafe. When you quickened your pace, so did your pursuer. It's fortunate that you've been training for the marathon taking place in Rome, Italy this year, so you break into a sprint. Apparently, the person chasing you isn't so lucky, because you finally lose him after a mile. You pause in the doorway of an Italian hotel, and its doorman asks you in Italian, "Do you have a euro?" You respond in Italian, "No, I don't have a euro. Why?" Then, you hear your spouse asking you in Italian, "Honey, are you talking in your sleep again?" You blink your eyes and explain in Italian, "someone was chasing me, and then a hotel doorman wanted a euro." Your spouse replies in Italian, "Oh, I know what it means. You dreamed that because we didn't tip the doorman when he got our taxi last night and you were upset with me. I'll tip him double today." Learning Italian with ItalianPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Italian! This Italian Absolute Beginner lesson will teach you two more ways you can use the imperfect verb tense in Italian-as a substitute for other tenses and when you're relaying what happened in a dream.
