You walk in, and the barista greets you with a cheery “Good morning!” in Italian. “What can I get for you?” he asks in Italian. “The strongest thing you’ve got,” you reply in Italian. “Are you sure?” he queries in Italian, with one eyebrow raised. “Lay it on me, and make it a venti,” you exclaim in Italian, confident you can handle the caffeine buzz you’re about to get. “Oh,” he chuckles. “The venti is just our medium size in Italy. After enjoying your Italian coffee, you manage to stay awake for three whole days. Next time, maybe you’ll ask for the small!
