You started speaking to your son in Italian from the time he was an infant, and now that he is a toddler, he is beginning to speak Italian himself. However, your wife’s Italian is not very good and she gets very frustrated when she cannot understand what her precocious toddler is saying. In fact, just today you walked in on your wife and son arguing-your wife in English and son in Italian-over his favorite toy! He teasingly told her in Italian, “you’ll never find it” when it was his time to put up the toys and take a nap. At dinnertime, he spit out his food and yelled in Italian, “I don’t like it!” And later at bedtime, “you can’t make me!” Your wife pleads with him to speak English to her, but of course, your son thinks it’s very funny that he knows something his mother does not. So tonight is her first Italian lesson. You know exactly where she needs to start! With all the stress around the house caused from speaking Italian…what better place to start than with something as easy as stressed Italian pronouns! You can relax now…they’ll help you all feel better! Learning Italian with ItalianPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Italian! In this Italian Newbie lesson, we will discuss the second category of direct object pronouns. Then we will learn about the last great Roman General-Emperor, Traianus. Buon journo!
Piacere quando chiedete una domanda in italiano ma risposta in inglese! I think this is a great teaching tool because I found myself correlating the question with the answer. As I worked through the translation of the question in my mind, it was confirmed by the answer. These are also practical questions a traveller may ask.
Continui il buonissimo lavoro!!!

Dear Tamatha,
I am glad you like the technique of having one sentence in Italian and the following answer in English, and vice versa.
Now that we have built a steady base of vocabulary and grammar we can start using it in different occasions.
We will be using this technique more in the Lower Intermediate lessons and higher levels.
If I may correct your Italian, remember to write “Buon giorno” with a “g”.
Ciao
Marco
