Learn Italian with ItalianPod101.com! You lament to your friend in Italian, “In the last year, I’ve gained fifteen pounds. It’s like my freshman year of college all over again.” Your friend replies in Italian, “Yeah, except we’re about ten years older…” You respond in Italian, “But apparently not ten years wiser. Why did I eat all of that crap?” Your friend sizes you up and says in Italian, “I have a theory. It’s because you got married.” You ask in Italian, “Oh yeah? Do tell!” Your friend continues in Italian, “My theory is this: when people get married, they have a tendency to let themselves go. You don’t have to impress your mate anymore, so you just give in to your bad habits.” Your friend adds in Italian, “And the stress of the first few years of marriage doesn’t help either. You’ll adjust and things will get back to normal. You’ll see!”
