Level: Newbie Lessons
Learn Italian with ItalianPod101.com! While you’re having with a good friend, you ask her in Italian, “If I ask you a question that may seem kind of silly, you won’t hold it against me, will you?” She responds in Italian, “Of course not! You can ask me anything.” You confide in her in Italian, “Well, the last few nights I’ve been hearing strange noises. At first, I heard them only briefly and I was able to fall back asleep. I thought the house was settling or that it was a noise outside. But lately, I’ve heard them off and on throughout the night, and they sound like they’re coming from my attic. I can’t sleep because I’m wondering what they might be.” Your friend inquires in Italian, “Do you have any idea what might be causing this noise?” You respond in Italian, “No…all I can think of is that my house is haunted. But there’s no such thing as ghosts, right?” Your friend responds in Italian, “I don’t know, but I’m not staying over your house again anytime soon. Maybe you should call an exterminator just to make sure!”
