You have three weeks to spend visiting your Italian family and touring Italy…but your family couldn’t decide where they wanted to stay. Your solution…you booked half of your vacation in a Tuscan farmhouse and the other half in an Italian hotel off the beach. Tonight, your entire Italian family will be meeting at the farmhouse you are staying in where you are going to cook an enormous Italian meal and just spend time with everyone. Luckily for you, you learned to say, “I like…” in Italian before you left home, because that is the number one questions everyone has so far! Your entire Italian family asks you in Italian, “what do you like about Italy the best?” Well, it seems every member of your family has a different opinion about that! Your husband tells them in Italian, “I like the history of Rome.” You tell them in Italian, “I like the beauty of the Tuscan countryside.” Your children reply in Italian, “we like the Italian beaches!!” Now how do you tell them in Italian “I don’t like leaving!” Oh, that’s the next lesson!

Learning Italian with ItalianPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Italian! This Italian Beginner lesson will teach you how to talk about what you like in Italian. Though we will briefly discuss how to say, “I don’t like…” in Italian, you will have to wait for the next Italian lesson for the full explanation! Finally, we will discuss Tuscan farmhouses and cottages as an alternative for your next Italian retreat! Visit us at ItalianPod101 for more great lessons and learning materials! We would like you to leave us a message while you are there!

Penso che l’estate sia così così. Preferisco la primavera e l’autonno… Ho il attigamento negativo come Marco. : D

Cinzia,

For “I don’t want to renounce” try “I don’t want to give it up” and watch out
for to/too.

Grazie Peter,

thank you very much for your advice

and Chriss… what is “attigamento”?
maybe you meant ATTEGGIAMENTO ??
if it’s “atteggiamento”, it requires the article L plus apostrophe… so it would be
L’ATTEGGIAMENTO…

but … I’d say VIVA L’ESTATE anyway!

Hi everybody, it’s been a long time since I posted anything. That’s because I had to finish off the school year, I’m a teacher, and now I’m in Italy. Right now I’m at an agriturismo. It’s about 20 km out of Verona. In case anyone is thinking of doing this, beware. Often they’re off the beaten track because they’re farms, duh, but that means public transit is often difficult or non-existant. You really need a car. Some are more like country houses and they may be more accessible. The one I’m in is a real farm complete with cows and flies. It’s lovely but remote. I’m using it as a nice break from touring but I’m leaving tomorrow for Rome because of the travel difficulties. Also, they only serve breakfast, nothing else and the nearest town is an hour’s walk away. I should have searched about more and been willing to pay more. This one is cheap. You get what you pay for.
