In today’s lesson Elena and Anna are working together in the same bakery when Peter arrives at their shop to buy a loaf of bread. The girls decide to play a joke on him by offering him a grissino (breadstick) and ask him to pay for it with an exaggerate amount of money. He does not immediately understand the joke, thus showing a funny look of surprise on his face. When he catches the joke, they all laugh together. We will be discussing some aspects regarding the conditional of the verb dovere and the employment of the expression “it’s Peter”. Italian bakery panetteria
