Io sono numero quatro.

I was listening to a programme on CBC radio 2 and heard that June 2nd is Italy’s National day. Italians voted to become a republic on this day in 1946. Do you celebrate this? What do you do?

Dear Deb,
numero “quattro”

Regarding celebrations of the “Festa della Repubblica”, as it is usually getting warmer, many Italians like to go to the sea while others like to go for a brief picnic up in the mountains.
It is also an occasion to start thinking of the summer vacations. Summer is just around the corner so many families and couples start planning where to go on vacation.
Ciao
Marco
