So what do you think about these proverbs.
Is it really wise not to trust people?
Do you usually like to help strangers?
When I first heard “Fidarsi è bene, non fidarsi è meglio” in the podcast, I thought “how harsh !!!”… but then again I have to admit I kind of live by this rule… while at the same time being a strong believer in “l’apparenza inganna”
So maybe on top of teaching us Italian, you can also have us see the error of our ways …
I am glad to know you liked the choice of proverbs.
I think Italians regard the wisdom of proverbs as a something close to a scientific truth as they are nearly always correct in their assumptions.
Ciao!
