Let’s say you have just made some new Italian friends in Italy. You decide to get together with the rest of the friends you are traveling with for dinner later. As evening rolls around, everyone meets at the restaurant. You begin introductions in the Italian language you have learned. You introduce your first new friend in Italian as, “un’amica, John,” (a female friend, John). To say he is embarrassed is an understatement!
Learning Italian with ItalianPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Italian! This Italian Newbie lesson will show you how to avoid embarrassing Italian language situations such as this. You will learn how gender and number affect Italian indefinite articles, and how we can use them to determine an Italian noun’s gender. You will also learn about Italian vigneti. Stop by ItalianPod101 and get some extra Italian learning materials…or leave us a comment about the lesson!

Is it only me or does it always start raining when you are on a picnic in Spring time!
Che sfortuna!
What bad luck!
Hello Marco and Cinzia,
I love this web site and look forward to new lessons. Perhaps you can help. I’ve never received an “email confirmation” and also have not received a response to email I sent a few days ago. How could I get my account “activated” ?
Thanks for any help and also for the great job you are doing.
Rabbit
Dear Roma55,
Thanks for the answer and fast too!
Do you like pesca noce?
Ciao a tutti!
Allora anche a voi piacciono i pic-nic?
So you like pic-nics as well?
Jaqueline you’re right, it always happens that it rains for important events or occasions! And … Roma55 thanks! I didn’t know the english word for “pesca noce” ![]()

Cinzia

Rabbit, sorry for the trouble. We had some temporary issues sending/receiving emails to/from AOL customers. I see that you free trial is now active. You should be able to log in using the username and password you registered with.
Dear Rabbit,
as you can see from the above post everything should be fine now or as Cinzia would say
Tutto a posto!
Buona giornata
Marco
Grazie, Marco.
I see that I can log in and use the site, which is great. But when I click on “My Account” it says I have to confirm email. So when it comes time to upgrade to a paying account, I’m not sure how I will get in there. When I click “upgrade” it takes me to the error message. I’m guessing you would money at some point
As a side note, I’m also registered at spanishpod101.com and the emails there came through immediately. Just in case it helps you to know that.
I love your web site and program . Thank you!
Rabbit
Dear Rabbit,
The issue you have been experiencing should now have been corrected.
Thank you for your collaboration.
Grazie per la Sua collaborazione.
Note that I have used “Sua” as it is a formal way to say “your”. While writing “sua” would mean his/her.
Ciao
Marco
Ciao a tutti,
Trans: Reply on nectarines. It is a fairly recent fruit , I think it was introduced for the first time in the 70’s. I must confess that nectarines are not my favourite kind of peaches, as they are often sold unripe, at least here in England. I prefer the ‘Giallone Spaccarelle’ type.
A lot of new words here - for anyone who has never tasted Italian peaches, they are massive! ‘Spaccarella’ is a type of peach which is easy to separate from the core (il nocciolo) after cutting it in two; from the verb: spaccare=to fracture/to splice. This way none of the wonderful juice is lost. The flesh (la polpa) is yellow, hence the name Giallona (from giallo=yellow).
But enough ranting: try the following site to see what Italian peaches look like:
http://www.pomonaitaliana.it/pomona/pesche.htm
where you will find also other common fruits with pictures.
Buon appetito!
